JUNIOR RANGER DAY

Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10am-noon. Bring the whole family to enjoy free and fun activities including archery, scavenger hunts, nature, education, and more. Return to the Visitor Center at 12:00 for the official badge presentation by one of our Conservation Police Officers and Sadie the Starved Rock Eagle Mascot. The program is free and no registration is needed.

Description:  Do you want to grow up to work in the great outdoors?  Maybe you want to be a park ranger, an environmental educator, a game warden, a biologist, or a forester.  Journey to Starved Rock State Park and learn all about different careers in the great outdoors while partaking in fun games, activities, and more while earning your Junior Ranger Badge!  A Conservation Police Officer and Sadie the Starved Rock Eagle (our unofficial mascot) will swear each ranger in at the end of the event at noon at the visitor center’s front steps.

Location:  Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center (outside by cabin behind the center).
