Coyotes and the Urban Landscape

Coyotes have to be one of the most misunderstood species in Illinois. They conjure up mixed feelings of fear, anger, and for some a wild beauty. Coyotes are blamed for many things they do and don’t do in human occupied spaces. They nonetheless should get the award for the best survivalist despite the human population. We have paved the road for the coyote’s historical expansion. Come learn about this wild canine and what you can expect from them in your neighborhood.
